Attik Ladder
The project started from the need for a play space intended for the children of a large family by arranging the attic of the house and the functional reconversion of an outbuilding, intervening as discreetly as possible with a centrally located connecting element, suspended from the existing wooden beams and unloading at a single point at floor level. This staircase serves as both a functional connector and a sculptural focal point in the heart of the room. Addressing spatial limitations and safety requirements, the design balances dynamic movement, suitable for play, with spaces for more static activities like reading. The staircase blends functionality and aesthetic appeal, creating a playful yet practical connection between the attic and the main living areas.
